Directors notes
When other children were reading children's stories, I was immersed in The Tell Tale Heart. I have been a long time admirer of Edgar Allan Poe's beautiful and haunting works, which is why I am now so thrilled to be a part of this experience. His chilling tales and depth of character are aspects I believe no horror writer has matched. He paved the way for many writers, but I feel the original "master of horror" cannot be beat. The "multitude of dreams" created by this man and brought to life with so excellent a group of people brings us into a world of fright and fancy. Thank you all for supporting Hunger Artist's Reader's Theatre, and enjoy the terror and excitement of An Evening With Edgar Allan Poe.
